I name you Breathtaking Stars . . .

Thank you, Elaine! The name you gave it looks the same when I googled it and now I have solved two mysteries because it comes in white and other colors also and I have some white flower photos that I was searching for a name for on my big picture blog. This flower I nicknamed Breathtaking Stars is really called Astilbes.

Once again, I have no idea what flower this is. . . but I like the name I made up for it! Ü I discovered this beauty near our sprinkler park at Esther Short Park. . . IF anyone knows what it is called, please let me know. Thank you!

I found it similar to several different species but will not try to guess. I imagine the Butterflies and Hummingbirds love it. It reminds me of the Butterfly Bush.

I wrote a comment but could not get it to publish so I'll try again.

I had to put it up side by side with one I saw this week, but they are not the same, just similar. I don't know it's name either.

When the kids were little, they did a Junior Ranger activity where they had to sketch and name a wildflower. Chris named his "George."

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
