A Rainbow of Colors
Usually, I find blue or white Hydrangeas but recently I have located other colors too. These are some of them. I never knew a flower could be so beautiful in so many different ways.
I couldn't find my white ones. . . I was told that the color they become is depended on the type of soil it is planted in BUT THEN why is this bush multicolored?

Oh, I LOVE hydrangeas! And you captured them in all their glory--what fabulous photos! I wish they were in my back yard!

I was going to say that the color varies depending on the acidity of the soil, but then I got down to the two bushes right next toe ach other, and after that the different colors on the same bush and...
Those are about the prettiest hydrangeas I've ever seen. I love the different colored ones. I'll ask my husband if he knows.
These colors are marvelous, Paulie. Just great.
PS My parents have gardened all their lives. In recent years they have come to enjoy it and wonder about it.
I just read this on Google...
Take iron nails, copper and zinc or aluminum and place it on 3 sides of the plant near the outside drip line. You will get three different colored blooms on one plant.
You'll have the whole spectrum soon :-)
They ARE beautiful flowers.

The hydrangeas are just beautiful, especially the pink one!
I've been told that you have to add acid to the soil if you want them to be a certain color...too bad I can't remember which color.
We tried to plant them two years ago, and they never came back up.
The hydrangeas are such lovely shades of blue, pink and cream.
