No idea what it is except pretty . . .and update

Thanks to EG Tourguide (and Malyssa for trying) for helping me to name my unknown tree/flower. I went back and took a picture of the whole tree. . . then I compared with internet photos and it looks like it is a . . . . . . . . Smoke Tree. Thanks for helping me to identify it.

I hope somebody knows the name. It is very pretty.

I'm puzzled by this one, too.

I saw something like that on an other blog and took time to re-find it before comment: could it be a japanese maple? The branches are red too. Maybe if you google it, you'll find if it's the same.

Here they're called smoke trees because the fine bits (in the distance) look like smoke. I think they're pretty too!

They do look like smoke . . . except they're very pretty. :)

Alright! Harnessing the power of the internet :-)

They look like big puff balls...our neighbor had a couple of trees like this when I was growing up. Not my favorite type of tree by any means, but they can still make a nice photo subject.

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
