I walk past this "empty" lot often and wonder what used to be here, who lived here, what kind of house must have stood here in our rich history. I may never find out BUT when I took this photo with the leaves on the steps, it intrigued me. I wondered if it might make a good book jacket for a wonderful story. . .

I'm glad I don't have to remove all those leaves, though they would have made all kinds of interesting patterns for photography.
The leaves look so thick. They are just starting to fall here. My husband picks them up with the mower and piles them around in different places. Sure beats raking!
They are certainly falling thick and fast. Our birch leaves have either turned or turned and fallen--depending on which tree. Our mountain ash is still dressed in green.

All those colors are wonderful.I'd choose your first picture for a book telling a very romantic love story, but a sad and tragic one, like "the wuthering heights", from Emily Brontë..
Your autumn views are more vibrant than anything I have seen here. Just stunning. We have not had the pleasure of so many leaves falling at once. Autumn has been a strange and slow trickle.

The first ones are definitely "A Blanket of Leaves" and the rest are something like "Crimson."

Beautiful shots, Paulie! I just love the vibrant fall colors. In answer to your query about my "together" shot (photo hunt), the pumpkins were from a public patch. However, I do hope to have my own patch neXt year!
