Experimenting . . .

Don't understand why Blogger makes my photos so small when the originals look so much bigger. . . so just trying something. . .

you were right to go on trying , because you finally could catch a great picture.I like the pictures whith the red leaves, they have something strange .And this last one seems so romantic with this white light around..

So, what did you do? Crop? It worked really well. I cropped mine to get it to show that large. The advantage of that 10x zoom helped, too.

It's a WONDERFUL 'moon capture' ...
I'm assuming you import them at the large setting, right? I also assume you know that if you double click on the image it will embiggen. That said ... the photos I upload to Blogger DO look bigger than your photo here and when I click on them they FILL the screen ... so I'm wondering what the size of the upload is?
Hugs and blessings,

Looks good to me. I love the moon in pictures.

The main problem is that Blogger will not usually accept pictures wider than 400pixels.-
Blogger's policy on the sizing of pictures is best known to themselves - nobody else understand why they do it the way they does. And to make it worse - they change there policy from time to time without warning. We have had large trouble with this in our little "photo club", where we aimed for as much consistency as we could manage.

It is not easy to get larger pictures, but it can be done. However, you will first have to change the layout template to one that uses the whole screen. Minima stretched is a good starting point. Thereafter there are two ways of doing it: one involving uploading the picture to another server first and then giving the address to Blogger (I use that) or tweak the code a little in HTML-mode when you write the post.

I know DOT once did something along those lines. I learned it from David McMahon and have had to re-learn every time Blogger changed some detail.

great turn out on that one. Do you have it set to show large when you download the photo from blogger? I think it also has something to do with how your camera is set on reselution mine is set to the highest, but i am not sure if that is why. I am sort of a dummy when it comes to cameras

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
