I found the darker golden center petals just stunning! The tips of the petals with the triangular cutouts are unique also. CLICK to enlarge! Once again, I don't know what kind of flower it is so if anyone can tell me, I would be happy to give you credit and will add the name. Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment! Ü Malyss has identified it as "Calendula Arvensis" (Marigold Wildflower) and I looked at Google's photos and found some similar . . . think mine is prettier because of the inner petals that are darker. THANKS!

Your flower looks a little like what we call here "SOUCI DES CHAMPS", which can be translated by "merigold of the fields".(The latin name is Calendula arvensis).
But I'm not sure at all...

It certainly looks like the marigold family. It is a gorgeous rich colour. Mine is up too but on Cath's Cradle, with Odd shot and Monochrome on CrazyCath's Reflections. Pop by on both for a visit!

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
