Fence Beauty . . .

Saw this Dahlia next to this old fence and wondered why such beauty was not given a more special place to show off its deep purple tones among the white petals. CLICK on to see how beautiful it really is!

It is a beauty indeed, but I feel that the greyness of the out-of-focus fence somehow enhances that. Maybe you could play around a bit with it to enhance it even more. Maybe crop it, "move" the flower to side etc. There should be room for it.

Ah, but the contrast between the velevety rich petals and the coarse boards of the fence is perfect, don't you think?

It is so beautyful that it doesn't need any help to show it!...

I looked again -- the fence is not out of focus. It was a regular shot. . . I did not blur the background. I feel like Katney and malyss do.

You are right about me going in and out of hospital for the moment. Side-effects have to be dealt with all the time. Today it is eyes. "Small challenges" for me compared to the alternative.
But I am alive and feel ok

This flower is beautiful Paulie. Love the colors. If you stare at it long enough, it looks like it is growing or the darkest color is bleeding out from it.

Gorgeous flower and it looks good against that wood fence.

I've always liked dahlias and this one is no exception! The light purple compated to the dark purple makes it even prettier!

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
