Gold leaf magic. . .

I was struck by this clump of leaves. Never have I seen leaves so gold looking before. . . yellow, red, orange and brown but never gold. . . are fairies at work? IF you CLICK on to enlarge, you will see what I mean!

Before I saw the image I was thinking of the golds of the birch trees, which are a golden yellow. this is almost metallic gold--bronze--looks almost like the tree sculpture at maryhill Museum.

Amazing how many colors you can find this time of year. Simple, but beautiful.

And I was thinking of the creative, artistic process of coating ordinary metal with gold. Which is what autumn does.

I love this picture! I'll be looking for leaves Thursday as we take a day trip a little north of us to see the colors.

I quite see what you mean - there is a touch of gold in the autumn

Great shot, Paulie! Love the color of it. Very unusual which is probably why I like it.

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
