I was trying my macro setting on camera again and for lack of some early spring flowers, I spotted this stuff in a tree. I am not sure what it is. Maybe someone will inform me and I can change the title of the post to match. . . I thought it was pretty anyway.

About Me
- PERBS
- WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.
I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.
Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!
Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.
The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .

I'd say you're right, it's a kind of lichen; Thanks for the Frenchman's explanation; I like the story!
Hi, Paulie,
I said my computer was off because it is. I am using Honey Bear's this week. He has a device that lets him access internet wherever he is. Alas, I have not programmed it to my computer and the disk is in Alabama. We do not have cable or internet connection to this house anymore.
I liked your suggestion for the house "sell" as a goal. I thought of it but couldn't think of one word. You're clever.
In the last photo I see two kinds of lichen and one of moss, so it looks like you got a "hat trick". (I think that hat trick refers to three of something in hockey--maybe it's a trifecta instead.)
Those are great shots. I love the color of this moss.
Cool how those macro shots can make simple stuff look so good.
Great picture.
even lichens look good.
Beautiful close-ups. A nice example of how common things that one normally overlooks can be very interesting when taking a closer look. I liked your pictures of the bridge and Mount Hood too. I got here through Malyss' blog. Kind regards
I would side with Katney here (except for the hat-trick which comes from soccer).
That is the exact color of the lobby at the hotel. It is beautiful!
