Barn behind the Trees

As I walked along Stewart Glen part of Burnt Bridge Creek Trail, I spotted this barn through the trees. It was hard to take a good photo of it because of all the trees -- no wonder I didn't see it before. I bet the times I walked that part of the trail, the leaves were on the trees and hid it even more. I'm not sure but it has a foundation, probably because of its proximity to the creek and possibility of flooding waters.

I think this is a lovely shot of the barn. Great atmosphere. Reminds me of a time of year when the air was lighter.

Just love those old barn/buildings pictures. So much history. I'm always amazed that they are still standing.

One really nice thing about winter is how certain things are revealed because there are no leaves on the trees. I LOVE old barns. They have soo much character.

I like it. It has a lot of character. It looks like it has a basement. It reminds me of tobbaco barns.

Maybe it was some sort of mill?

I really like shots like these. It's almost as if the barn is hiding because it's shy. I'm sure it has a story to tell...

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
