Butterflies on Rainier

Remember this one I already showed you? Well, I caught others with my camera too -- they just wouldn't upload for me on my old computer until now. . .

I was hoping the blue butterfly I spotted turned out but I zoomed too much and it didn't.

I did catch two other types of butterflies tho. This one and . . .

these:

I think the second one I once identified as a California Calico, and the others are Fritterary. I may have too many Ts and not enough Rs in that name. I managed to get one of the Blue Ladies once, but I was sitting still and it pretty much came to me--at least close enough to zoom in.

A bonanza of butterflies! I haven't seen many on my hikes this summer - the ones I have seen "got away" before I could make them pose.

I love butterflies!there are so beautyful and so frail at the same time; living shortly in pure beauty. We seldom see them in towns

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
