Gorgeous leaves and plant
Help me with the name of this beauty please! Thanks, EG TourGuide -- It's a Canna Lily.
Thursday night, I arrived a bit early -- lets say two hours -- for the free concert by the Beatniks. (Well, I wanted to get a good spot and quite a number of people were already there.) Sooooooooooooooo, after I set up my beach chair and blanket, I took my camera for a walk around the park and captured some beautiful flowers besides the rose garden roses. This is one of them.
It almost looks like a little face, doesn't it?

- WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.
I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.
Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!
Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.
The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .

I don't know what it is, but I sure do like the color of the blossoms!
No idea what kind of flower it is....but it sure is pretty!
I thought maybe it might be a Begonia, but next to roses, I'm not so sure - Roses need sun and Begonias usually grow well in shade... At any rate - beautiful and you did exactly the right thing - walk around with your camera and then share!
Looks like some sort of Calla lily..exotic plant anyway..bring inside to overwinter!
It's a canna lily, Paulie. I LOVE them. People grow them here but the bulbs need to be taken up to spend the winter indoors. Nice pics!
Beautiful flower but the leaves are even more impressive. My mother grows those but I never seem to be there when they are blooming.
Beautiful shots, I really like the photos of the leaves.
The beauty is definitely in the details, isn't it? Thanks for the lovelies.
