The first two are cattails (second one is going to seed) and the last three are teasels.

I love to see these things this time of year. They remind me that as slow as time seems to go, it really does fly.

Around here, We call the first plant "the grass of the pampa" (don't ask me why!) and the second plant is called a "chardon"; the second one is now protected, it's forbidden to pick it up.
Very interesting shots.

As much as I like the look of teasel, I can't imagine it protected as Malyss says.

Well, it is obvious that comment moderation isn't working. Oh well, I can use delete button I suppose.

When I mentioned the second ONE, I was speaking of the second plant. I didn't look back up and count pictures. The second plant--third through fifth pictures--is called teasel.

Ok, I messed up and accidently deleted my first comment from RuneE.He didn't return to post it again at my request so I am posting it. . .

"I see that you are getting closer and having fun at the same time. I liked the last one best, but on the other hand: "What is "the lollipop" at the top?
RuneE"

I added the names ofthem after he asked.

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
