Bridges Between-- September 2008

RuneE is sponsoring this monthly challenge on the first Monday of every month. Bridges Between is subject to open interpretation.

I think sometimes we take nature for granted. Huh, you say? What does this have to do with "Bridges Between?" Let me explain myself.

How many times have you looked at something new and just presumed that is just the way it is supposed to be? I used to do that but since I got my digital camera 6 years ago, my thoughts have changed completely and I look at things in a new, more thoughtful way. I think that is one of the reasons I like this meme. . . because it makes me think of "connections" = BRIDGES.

Look at these two photos and try to understand why I consider them a bridge/ for my post this week.

In both photos, you can see the new growth at the tips of the branches. This shows that the tree is getting bigger or sometimes even replacing old growth. That old growth is the bridge to the new growth! You can't have new growth without the other. I challenge you to think this way for your next "BRIDGES BETWEEN" post. That's the way people grow too -- ever consider your daily life a bridge?

An interesting interpretation! You cannot be what your are without building on what you have been before. The process is than a bridge between the past, the present and the future. Very neat!!

PS Thank you reminding me about the update! It has been done.

A very good bridge analogy! Bridges as anything that carries us over a gap--of time or space or? what else might we cross?

My life is a bridge between experiences, some good and some bad.

I have nominated your blog for the Brillante Weblog Premio 2008 Award.

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
