Some consider the days after Labor Day to be Fall or Autumn but it really hasn't arrived yet. . . the nights may be getting cooler and it gets darker sooner but that wonderful sunshine that brings high temperatures and blue skies is with us for an extended season called "Indian Summer." Most people know this season who live in the north east but I grew up with it in SE Idaho and I have lived all over the United States except the deep south and enjoyed it there too. These hot days after Labor Day have been welcomed by me and others and I consider it a blessing when we are celebrating them because all too soon it will be Fall with the steady rains and then Winter, hopefully with some snow, then Spring flowers before Summer comes again.
Thank you, Lord, for the sunshine!

Here in Southern Ontario the Fall tends to be beautiful :) Fall is my favourite, but I do love Indian summer too :) Happy BYB Sunday and I hope you have a lovely week coming up :)
Your post is a prose poem. A beautiful explanation of this marvelous time of year. Thank you!
I do love a fine Indian Summertime... there's something about the temperature being okay for a swim, fine for a T-Shirt, then by evening, suitable for a sweater and fire... my favourite time of the year.
Lovely!
I Like this part of the year. Two days ago, I was swimming in the sea, and today, there are big grey clouds in the sky.You never know what you'll find tomorrow..so enjoy the day!
Sunshine is a blessing as it makes one smile. I like spring better than the other seasons because of new growth.
Hey Paulie. I do visit! Let's not start Blessing Fall until it's here officially!
Thanks for stopping by my blog guess we do have something in common very nice weather
Beautiful. I like summer too. However I am ready for a little change. Looking forward to some cooler days or at least something lower than 90. haha! I live in the deep south - it is way too hot.
Here in our country, it is constantly raining right now due to typhoons coming in and out. We tend to take for granted a beautiful day until we are faced with steady rain. I am blessed with this post.
Thanks for dropping by my BYB entries :)
Thanks for your visit to Sacred Ruminations on Sunday. I apologize for not having my BYBS post published when you dropped by, but it IS up now … should you care to return: BYBS#18.
I love the way you've incorporated six photos in your ‘header’ and am wondering whether you'd mind if I ‘borrowed’ the idea the next time I change the headers on my blogs?
Sunshine is a lovely thing to be grateful for … especially when one lives in the Northwest. Here in Southern California we don't experience the changing of the seasons in quite the same way that you do, but we could sure use some rain ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
