Birds at Rainier . . .

Katney helped me identify these birds. THANKS!

We saw this one on the way to Mt. Rainier campsite on the first day. Katney's hubby stopped for us to get out of the car and take photos. What a guy!!!!!!! This is a Ptarmigan and it didn't seem to be scared of us at all.

The silhouette of this Stellar jay was taken right above our camping area.

This little Gray Jay was spotted just as we were leaving the lobby of the Paradise Inn.

This pretty blue bird, a Stellar Jay, was around all the time but very fast so I got very few good photos of it.

Ah, you did get some very good pics of the Stellar Jay, actually. They do tend to hide int he trees--when not swooping down to check out whatever you may be eating.

You got some really nice bird pictures. I like the first one best. It looks like a really large bird.

These are wonderful shots. I never heard of a gray jay until now. Thanks for learning me something!

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
