I have seen a variety of blue flowers but this is the first time I viewed a blue Tulip. How about you?
So many talking to me say it is a black tulip but I disagree and found the answer on the internet. . .
Q. Do black tulips really exist?
A. Yes they do, but in reality they are very dark blue.
So, I guess seeing is in the eye of the beholder.

I've been raving about purple tulips all spring. But, this blue one tops those! Gorgeous!

Here, we call those very dark blue tulips "black tulips", because in our history, there 's a legend of a knight who saved the poor people by fighting against rich and bad people, and let such a tulip to sign when he left the place of the fight..But I never saw such a flower in real life!

I've seen the pale blue ones. This one must be Midnight Blue. I've never seen one like it and it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it.

I think we call them black tulips! :-)
There is the legend (and book) about the Black Tulip concerning one who should have made it. However, this is the closest I have seen.

Beautiful - I've never seen one in black or blue - It does look blue to me.

When you mentioned the blue tulip, I guess I thought it would be more like a baby blue. This one is very pretty though, but it almost looks purple.
