ODD SHOTS

If you want to join ODD SHOTS, see Katney

I was walking through the park part of the National Reserve here at Fort Vancouver and spotted this tree I have probably seen thousands of times. I think it is odd the way those branches grow straight up from the one pointing to the right. Maybe it seems natural to others but then why do branches spread away from the trunk and some grow like these: straight up?

One of these day's I'm going to participate in Odd Shorts too. Thanks for dropping by. Sorry to disappoint at Sacred Ruminations. I've been ill and haven't had energy to visit or write ... but maybe I'll do a belated post tomorrow or the next day when I feel better. Posting photos is so much simpler when I'm sick.
Hugs and blessings,

Somehow these growth patterns make perfect sense, yet the sense is so odd!

It's funny what you notice looking at things you have seen over and over.

There is always some aesthetic sense in everything, we just need those eyes to reveal it.

Great Shot.

I experienced the turmoil and cherish while reading your post of loosing and finding the camera. It felt as if some my belonging was lost and then found.

God Bless...

Those branches gave a very nice framing to the picture - not odd to me - only very fitting since that is often what I aim for.

PS Thank you for all the nice comments!

The top branch bends so much that I wonder what happened. Hmmm.

I liked the angle of it, Paulie. it is like the tree is framing a shot of the other tree's branches to me. Cool. Sorry you didn't get what my odd shot was. I will tell you what it is on Friday. Keep ya in suspense. LOL

Our Maple has a branch that goes out sort of like that. I think it would be a good place to hang a swing.
I've been following Flat Stanley's adventures. My granddaughter is visiting and I 've shown here his blog. She has sent her Stanley to New York with her Aunt who is a truck driver.

Nature is truly a wonder and amazing.
PS- I haven't been on the computer much lately, to much going on. So sorry to read about your brother. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Lord comfort you with His presence as you hold your memories of your brother close.

What an interesting shot! You got it at the perfect time too, before the leaves came out, yet with a clear sky.I like the contrast of old and new, along with horizontal and vertical. Great shot Paulie!

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
