I got a call from a church friend on Friday asking if I would teach a few teens how to make cards. They wanted to present them to the different Boards that donated towards the baskets at their auction during their recent chilli feed/contest. I had the idea it it was 6 or 7 kids -- I ended up with 12!
It was a challenge but I figured I was up to it and needed to get out of my funk after my brother's death. I made a few samples showing the type of things they could do with the thank you stamps I had.I think they did pretty darn good -- even the two boys! None had stamped before. I also told them they could use anything I brought but none could copy my sample cards. They did not put theirs in envelopes but were going to present them to the board chairmen at a meeting this week so it was fine to get bigger than the paper of the card with their designs. IF you want to see their cards better CLICK on photo to enlarge.

About Me
- PERBS
- WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.
I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.
Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!
Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.
The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .

It's good to get with the youth. Last night I went in to religious ed classes and did some one on one testing of some of the things they needed to know. Then sat in on a third grade class that was reviewing the commandments. Their enthusiams gives you hope.
These cards are so cheerful, Paulie! Bright colours of spring. How wonderful that you helped the teens. ;-)
It is always refreshing to work with teenagers in church. They bring a bright spot to the world.
Your cards are beautiful! Sounds like you and the teens were blessed to share with each other. Amazing how our Lords knows what we need at just the right time.
That was impressive! Such things would be impossible for me.
I loved the bottom middle one of the fence post! I love doing stuff like this. It reminds me we need to make stuff to decorate our fellowship hall for Easter, but I'd love to go with my family to the hunting land woods where my husband hunts, spend the day & take photos if we can.
These sure did come out great. Amazing! You are quite a teacher.
Wow, what a great opportunity! They really came out nice too. It's great that these kids realize that letting someone know how much you appreciate what they did for you is VERY important!
I'm glad you helped them!
