I had errands to run and the day started out cool but blue skies. Just before I got home, they disappeared and the rain let loose. Since I had to walk two blocks from the bus stop to my apartment, I figured that I might as well make good use of walking in the rain. . . I put my umbrella away and dug out my camera which is always with me. I like what I got:
That little bit of blue sky didn't last long. . . so I decided to focus UP and catch it to prove that it WAS a nice day. . .
The rain drops really collected on this one and are even more beautiful if you CLICK on it to enlarge photo.
Only if you CLICK on this one will you see the raindrops.
This one is a little blurry because I was trying to focus on the big raindrops only. I still like it and maybe after I learn how to use my camera better, might actually get a raindrop that looks great.

About Me

- WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.
I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.
Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!
Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.
The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .

I love to see raindrops!the pictures with roses are simply delightful!
Oh, I like these. The white flower looks like an Orchid.
And I liked that you included more about your day in this post.
We have had 5 days now without rain which is great but tomorrow, I had wanted to drive south and attend a Harvest Festival with my sister. It looks like it might be rained out. We'll just have to see what it is like in the morning.

Heavenly photos you have captured! Raindrops are magical when snapped! And so are yours! :) Have a wonderful day! :) - And.... did you find out of the translater?
The white flower is on a tree -- I don't think orchids grow on trees. . .
Raingdrops on roses and whiskers on kittens...
How are the camera classes? Have you started yet?
Loved your rain-drenched blooms! There is snow in my yard, so your flowers are a feast for my eyes.
That second rose is exquisite! And yes, Autumn is has arrived and is unpacking her bags to stay awhile. Our temps have dropped into the 40's the past few nights.
This reminds of the song: "Raindrops keep falling..." - and they fall here too.
PS Regarding space and Blogger - you can save some space if you reduce the size of the pictures to the size you want to use before you post. It is also possible to rent more space in Picasa (where the pictures reside) for $20 a year.
Beautiful post and lovely shots !! Simply fantastic !! Full of beauty !!Unseen Rajasthan
It is very hard to get the raindrops sharp without a tripod, you did good job. Nice post, I'm glad you braved the rain for us.
You know how to make good use of the rain's charm!
The pink rose and the salmon colored rose are just beautiful! I love how you can see the raindrops.
Such beautiful photos, my friend. Very nicely done.
Beautiful bejeweled blossoms! The rains have returned here as well, along with brisk Autumn breezes. Oh well, at least the grass is green again!
What BEAUTIFUL raindrops on your lovely blossoms! It's been so long since we've had any rain I've forgotten what the wet stuph looks and smells like. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs and blessings,
