Rose Garden and Rose Show Roses

Today, I got some more beautiful shots of roses downtown near the Farmers Market and this afternoon, I went to the Rose Society show. Walking home, I found more roses that were just as beautiful as ones at the show. It was hard to decide which roses to share but finally decided to start with these:

Lovely images... and beautiful roses... I do have a soft-spot in my heart for roses so it's an instant win thing for me! :)

I like all of them, but the third one, the pink one, is really my favorite. I'm sure you had a great time at this Rose show.
Glad to see you're feeling better.

I hae only grown roses for a couple of years. For some reason I always thought it would be difficult. That couldn't be further from the truth--it's easy to have a lot of roses of many colors if you have the space. Wonerfully colorful through the summer. Perfect specimens like these are something I can't necessarily claim. Just lots and lots.

Is the first one oarnge or yellow? I know sometimes color is effected by the transfer. I wondered because with that pink edging, it reminded me of Blush, which is a yellow rose with a pink blush. I used to have those in my garden when we owned the farm.

Isn't it amazing how many different roses there are? It's not surprising they are the world's favourite flower.

Beautiful roses. Especially the pink one. I love how it looks translucent around the edges.

The third one is my favorite (I just LOVE pink roses) but the first one is also really pretty. I can't tell if it's yellow mixed with orange, red, or a shade of pink. Whatever it is, it sure is pretty.

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
