Wetlands snow and birds

There are paved paths around the circumference of these wetlands that are a part of Burnt Bridge Creek. Usually the ducks and Canadian geese are found here in various groups at different times. This area also has lots of dragonflies but the only one I ever captured on film was taken a couple miles from here. This is whee I began my trek in the snow a week ago last Tuesday.

A little further down the trail, I heard this loud noise, almost like singing coming from the sky above me. When I looked up, I saw the source of the music. . . lots of birds in the tree probably singing a snow song just for me/or griping about yet another snowfall. I mean, it has snowed 15 times this winter so far! (Yes I keep track!) This is an unusual winter for Vancouver where we usually get rain instead of snow. Anyway, here's some of those providing music for my snow trek that day.

About Me

My photo
WELCOME to my blog. I hope you will return often.

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.

Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!

Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.

The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
