Remember this one I already showed you? Well, I caught others with my camera too -- they just wouldn't upload for me on my old computer until now. . . I was hoping the blue butterfly I spotted turned out but I zoomed too much and it didn't. I did catch two other types of butterflies tho. This one and . . .
We were setting up camp and getting dinner ready on Mt. Rainier when I spotted this bird flying to the tree overhead. I forget what it is called but if Katney reads this, she might remind me. It likes to steal food.
I chased many butterflies at Mt. Rainier on the 4th and 5th day there. One of these days you will get to see the others. They were too fast to use my digital zoom on but I think I captured them nicely anyway. This photo will enlarge if you CLICK on it. When I check on the flower with my leaflet downstairs, I will let you know the name of this white beauty. Katney won't believe that I have forgotten it. . . HEY! I will blame it on the high temperatures we have been having. It is a Sitka Valerian.
When you have a digital camera, one tends to take photos of things you might not ordinarily take if you were printing them. I like stairs! These look so natural in this setting. AND what is this setting? I am not sure as I just chose it in a hurry when a young girl was teaching me how to load photos from my camera on the PC upstairs in the community room. I think it might be on the way to the island where the huge old trees were which I have temporarily forgotten the name of again. For this post, it doesn't matter. Just focus on the artistic stairs highlighted by the flowers on the side and enjoy!
This is my last post about my camping trip to Mt. Rainier with Katney and her hubby. YES, we had rain at Rainier. . . Ü It sure made the plants beautiful with water droplets clinging to them and some ready to drop off any minute. If you want to see the real beauty, CLICK on each to enlarge to get the best viewing of the raindrops.
I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.
Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!
Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.
The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
