Our first afternoon there after we set up camp, we hiked this trail. (CLICK on the photo to enlarge to read the sign if you want more information.)We did this before the previous photos I published of the deer but it was the same general area but on the trail instead of by the inn.
The photo here was along the trail and the deer is a youngster.with mama in one of my photos. After awhile of watching them, the mama took off and the two youngsters stayed for a short time and then bounded over the fence to find mama. . . 
This trail was a short one but it gave us a taste of the beautiful history Rainier provides to all who venture upon its mountain. After the walk about, we spent time across the street near the Inn taking photos of the deer (that I featured in my first post about camping) until the sun set and we could get those beautiful views I posted earlier.
